God is hidden in the fabric of all of existence. But God can be found and recognized in small and large communal interactions. As Dr. Daniel Matt (God and the Big Bang) says, “She is right here, in the leaf of a tree, in a friend’s voice, in a stranger’s eye. Isaiah heard the angels singing, ‘The fullness of the earth is God’s presence.’ In the words of the Zohar, ‘There is no place empty of It.’ The world is teeming with God.”

This version of God, while not as powerful as a God who can bend nature at will to intervene on an individual’s behalf, is a constant presence. God is not far away because God is right here and the individual is a part of God.
